Unity of religions

I think calls for "unity of religions" are actually calls for unity among followers of different religions. This is a very sensible and cultured call. It might not have meant that all religions (religious teachings) be mixed up and a potpourri of a single religion be served. This is neither practical nor wise. Each religion is unique and the uniqueness of each religion must be left intact for the world to benefit by much variety in approaches to God or Divinity.

[My comment is a response to the article which rubbished the idea of "unity of religions"]
